Tags--They're it!
In HTML, tags make the world go around! They let us format our page with color and graphics. They let us make words or pictures Big or small. Here are some important things to remember about tags.
- In HTML, all tags are placed in < >'s (brackets). Don't forget these! Otherwise, your program will not work! A tag will look like:
<html>
- Be consistant with how they appear in your text editor. Decide to either type them all in capital letters or all in lower case letters throughout your code.
- Almost all tags except for the break tags will have closing tags. The closing tag will have a slash (/) in it. The opening and closing tags go around the text that is affected and the HTML code looks like this:
<html> text affected </html>
