Tracking a Company
What company or companies do you think you want to invest in? Let's do a little research before you dish out the dough!
- Pick a company in which you would like to make an investment. Pick a company you can relate to. Think about who makes some of your favorite products?
- Research your company:
- When was it founded?
- What products does it produce?
- What is the most popular product it has?
- What other companies does it own?
- How large is it?
- How did it get where it is now?
- Who are its major competitors?
- Is the company part of the DOW, NASDAQ, or S&P?
- Why does this company seem promising to you?
- Track its stock for a year.
Is the stock growing? What is the general trend? Up or down?
View the stock for a longer period of time, maybe 5 years? What is the general trend?
- Make a website with all this information! You can use any of the other Web Divas lessons to learn how to make and store your website!
Be sure to tell your parents about all the stuff you've learned about stocks!
